Happy New Year!  I hope your holiday season was enjoyable.  It's hard to believe another year has passed!

By the grace of God we were able to help over 2,200 individuals with turkeys and all the trimmings for Thanksgiving.  Our "Operation Christmas Smiles" Program was a wonderful success, with the help of our business neighbor "Victory Clinic" who offered us the use of their very large open space to hold our event on December 20^th.

We received over 900 donated toys from Toy for Tots, Local Schools, Businesses, Fire Department, as well as, community individuals, which were given out by Santa to over 680 children whose families participated in our program this year. With the help of Dunkin Donuts, Starbucks, and volunteers, refreshments were served to all the children.  From face painting to coloring sections, and the character of Frosty the Snowman - donated by King Henry Enterprise, and Santa's Elves, it was a time where even the adults felt like children again.

A special thanks to all of our Volunteers, too many to mention - it will be a memorable time for all who attended.  Our goal was to put a smile on the face of the child whose family is facing hardship at this time.  In short, mission accomplished.

Even though there wasn't any cost to Reaching Out, as everything was donated, it was all the wonderful volunteers who made it happen with their time and effort.  On behalf of the children, we are appreciative and thankful to all.

Now, that all the fun is gone, we face the challenge to maintain our operational budget and, hopefully, continue to help those who depend on our food program for the year to come.  Thank you for your support in 2008.  I hope we can depend on your support this year as well.  God knows we're going to need it.
